Köismäe Tower

The horseshoe-shaped Köismäe Tower is in the western part of the city wall, between the Plate and Loewenschede Towers, on the most exciting street running along the city wall. Constructed in 1360, the tower has a small balcony from which you can access the wall. The five storeys that the tower now has and its height of 27 metres came about in 1520, since which times it has been remarkably well preserved. The top floor offers amazing views of the Old Town, while there is a door on the 1st floor out onto Tower Square. There is seating for up to 70 people on the 3rd floor, where performances are given and special events held.
