Mihklipäev (St. Michael’s Day or Michaelmas)

Mihklipäev (St. Michael’s Day or Michaelmas)

Come to Tallinn in the autumn and celebrate Michaelmas with us at the Estonian Open Air Museum – the end of field work and the beginning of a new season!

Walk through the museum’s historic farms, feel the autumn spirit, and experience the day when people used to enjoy the last butter of the season, slaughter a sheep or ram and distribute wages and fair money to servants. The whole family has the opportunity to participate in Michaelmas activities, enjoy dishes made from autumn produce, and sample traditional beer.

Joyful voices, living history, and the spirit of rural Estonian life await you at the Estonian Open Air Museum.
