Church of the “Quick to Hearken” Icon of the Mother of God in Tallinn

The most sacred aspect of the Church of the “Quick to Hearken” Icon of the Mother of God in Tallinn is the “Quick to Hearken” Icon of the Mother of God, which is said to work miracles. It was previously located in the Tallinn Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God Convent in Kuremäe, which was closed in 1959. Between that time and the opening of the new church, Metropolitan Cornelius kept the icon. The construction of the church was completed in June 2013, and it was consecrated by the Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia.

Architecturally, the church has a single-domed Byzantine structure which was built using local materials designed to match the stone of the Lasnamäe cliffs.

The complex is completed by the Alexius II Square and a bell tower.
