Jägala-Kostivere-Neeme. Wonderful coastline, Jägala waterfall and the habitats of ancient Estonians.

Jõelähtme region is located in the immediate vicinity of Tallinn, 20 minutes from the centre you can already reach the Jägala Waterfall. The area is ideal for a day trip from Tallinn. The area is rich in archaeological and historical attractions as well as various natural objects. The most noteworthy ones are the ancient stone burial site of Jõelähtme, the mysterious and unique Kostivere karst area, which has become world-known among experts, and the largest natural waterfall in Estonia – Jägala waterfall. Don’t forget the beautiful long sandy beaches and picturesque small harbours and restaurants in the beach villages! From this are you can also access tiny North Estonian islands such as Pedassaar and Rammu. From Kaberneeme harbor you can travel to the Malusi islands for seal watching (pranglireisid.ee). For cyclists it is advisable to travel from Tallinn directly to the area, there is no direct train connection. Owners of small vessels can approach via Kaberneeme Port or Neeme Port. Bus traffic to the area (destinations Kostivere, Neeme or Kaberneeme) is not very frequent, but its possible (www.peatus.ee).
