Exhibition “Galatea Triumph. Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”

The international group exhibition “Galatea Triumph” at the Kumu Art Museum in Kadriorg offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience how contemporary art in Estonia and Europe interprets the relationships between artificial intelligence, technology, and human experience. The exhibition, with a title that refers to the myth of Pygmalion, explores how human-made systems — from machines to algorithms — begin to shape our identity, perceptions, and cultural space.

The exhibition brings together artists from different generations and international backgrounds, whose works reveal the poetic, critical, and sometimes eerie aspects of technological development. The works of Andreas Albrectsen, Maria Arnal, Jon Rafman, Marge Monko, Timo Toots, and other artists create a multi-layered dialogue between art, artificial intelligence, and society.

The curator of the exhibition is Anders Härm, and it is part of the Kumu’s 20th anniversary season program.

“Galatea Triumph” is perfect for those interested in Estonian contemporary art and seeking a deeper understanding of art in the age of artificial intelligence.
